hi! i just happened across your blog doing some 'field research' of my own - i have a herbarium specimen to prepare for allocasuarina littoralis, and google directed me to the image you have of the female fruit and seeds.

i see you're not an incredibly regular poster - i'm writing to encourage you to post more! not too much more, possibly for the sake of quality, but enough that people like me get the opportunity to read your thoughts more often. which i found intriguing and strikingly similar to my interests and recent experiences.
